Matthew was a real surprise at our Federation AGM - informative, clever and very, very funny. We have had a lot of feedback congratulating us for booking such a wonderful speaker. Wiltshire Federation of WIs, Oct 2011 Matthew's courses have inspired people to want to know more Shakespeare and helped them speak with confidence. They are also great fun. We hear the laughter when we pass the room. Jane Dixon, Head of Denman College, Dec 2011 Matthew's activities requiring students to respond physically to Shakespeare's language are a very clearly a winner. Exploring Shakespeare - by Speaking Him

Explore Shakespeare - by Speaking Him

Matthew’s Exploring Shakespeare workshops are for everyone – aficionados, experienced actors, confident public speakers, as well as people who have never seen a play, never read Shakespeare or never been on a stage.

Organisations Matthew has worked with over the last six months include: The White City Youth Theatre; Outside Edge Theatre Group; HMP Wormwood Scrubs; The London Oratory School; Lady Eleanor Holles School and Denman College in Oxfordshire.

As well as educational benefits, the workshops help with public speaking skills and he offers them to schools (primary and secondary), businesses and social organisations. Recent school workshops include Shakespeare Inductions (for GCSE and A Level students), Revision Sessions, and workshops on specific plays.
